Family of Charlotte Mary Peters and John Colwell

Charlotte Mary PETERS (dau. of William PETERS and Charlotte HAIN[E]S) was born abt 1801 in Queens County, New Brunswick. She was baptised 3 January 1802 in Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick. She died 1 June 1879 and was buried in Colwell Cemetery, Lower Cambridge, Queens County, New Brunswick.

Charlotte Mary PETERS married John COLWELL 16 March 1820 in Queens County, New Brunswick.

John COLWELL (son of John COLWELL Sr. and [Hannah/Tamar BRITTON]) was born abt 1793 in New Brunswick. He died 22 February 1871 and was buried in Colwell Cemetery, Lower Cambridge, Queens County, New Brunswick. He was a farmer.

Charlotte Mary PETERS and John COLWELL had the following children:

  12. Albert B. COLWELL was born abt 1842 in New Brunswick and died 20 May 1865. He was buried in Colwell Cemetery, Lower Cambridge, Queens County, New Brunswick.
  13. Margaret Isabel COLWELL (abt 1844 - 1884)

This family can be found in the 1861 and 1871 Cambridge, Queens County, New Brunswick census. John Colwell made a will 26 August 1870 which named his wife and all living children. This family is also mentioned in The Early Baptists of Cambridge Parish, Queens County, New Brunswick written by Rev. Walter R. Greenwood in 1941.
