Family of Carleton Peters and Janet McAlpine

Carleton PETERS (son of William PETERS and Charlotte HAIN[E]S) was born abt 1799 in New Brunswick. He was baptised 9 February 1800 in Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick. He died 22 September 1856 and was buried in Upper Hampstead Baptist Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick.

Carleton PETERS married Janet MCALPINE 15 March 1820 in Gagetown, Queens County, New Brunswick.

Janet MCALPINE (dau. of Charles MCALPINE and Christean BALMAINE) was born abt 1802 in New Brunswick. She was baptised 18 July 1802 in Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick. She died 14 June 1858 and was buried in Upper Hampstead Baptist Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick.

Carleton PETERS and Janet MCALPINE had the following children:

  1. Charles Henry PETERS (1823 - 1895)
  2. Charlotte Haynes PETERS (1824 - ?)
  3. Margaret Elizabeth PETERS (? - ?)
  4. William James PETERS (abt 1828 - 1901)
  5. Carleton Leonard PETERS was born abt 1830/1831 in New Brunswick. He died 3 March 1863 and was buried in Upper Hampstead Baptist Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick. He never married.
  6. Janet A. PETERS (abt 1833 - 1901)
  7. Everett H. PETERS (abt 1836 - 1913)
  8. George A. PETERS (abt 1838 - abt 1913)

Obituary for Carleton Peters in the New Brunswick Courier 4 October 1856. Several brothers together in the 1861 Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick census. Baptisms of parents and first two children in the records of St. John's Anglican Church, Gagetown, New Brunswick.
