Family of Mary Ann Betsey Peters and (1) John Cameron / (2) Joseph Ebbett

Mary Ann Betsey PETERS (dau. of Samuel Leonard PETERS and Phoebe TILLEY) was born 29 June 1828 in Queens County, New Brunswick. She was baptised in 1830 in Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick. She died 12 August 1902 and was buried in Upper Hampstead Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick.

Mary Ann Betsey PETERS married:

  1. John CAMERON Jr. 25 March 1847 in Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick. John CAMERON (possibly son of John CAMERON Sr. and ?) was probably born abt 1815, probably died 6 January 1865 and is probably buried in Upper Hampstead Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick.
  2. Joseph EBBETT abt July 1870. Joseph EBBETT (parents unknown) was born abt 1823. He died 17 October 1893 and was buried in Upper Hampstead Cemetery, Queens County, New Brunswick. He was a farmer.

It doesn't appear that Mary Ann Peters had any children with either husband.

Marriage announcement for John Cameron and Mary Ann Peters in St. John Morning News 7 April 1847. John Cameron died intestate but February 1872 administration papers name his wife as "Mary Ann Ebbett, formerly Mary Ann Cameron, wife of Joseph Ebbett" and indicate there were no children. Joseph and Mary Ann can be found in the 1871, 1881 and 1891 Gagetown Parish, Queens County, New Brunswick census. Mary Ann can be found with her brother-in-law Charles Ebbett in the 1901 Gagetown, Queens County, New Brunswick census.
