Family of Phoebe Augusta Powell Peters and William Seely

Phoebe Augusta Powell PETERS (dau. of William PETERS and Charlotte HAIN[E]S) was born 31 March 1818 in Queens County, New Brunswick. She was baptised in 1824 in Gagetown, Queens County, New Brunswick. She died 15 January 1894 in St. John, New Brunswick and was buried in the Church of England Cemetery in St. John, New Brunswick.

Phoebe A. P. PETERS married William SEELY 15 May 1837 in St. John, New Brunswick.

William SEELY (possibly son of Seth SEELY and Anna [UNKNOWN]) was born abt 1814 possibly in Nova Scotia. He died 9 July 1898 in St. John, New Brunswick and was buried in the Church of England Cemetery in St. John, New Brunswick. William was the Dominion Auditor for New Brunswick.

Phoebe A. P. PETERS and William SEELY had the following children:

  1. William Albert SEELY was born in 1839 and died "after a short but severe illness" 6th or 7th February 1840 in St. John, New Brunswick. He was buried in the Church of England Cemetery in St. John, New Brunswick.
  2. William Leonard Tilley SEELY (abt 1841 - 1880)
  3. Augusta Jane Peters SEELY (1843 - 1929)
  4. Albert Richard SEELY was born abt 1846 and died "after a severe illness of 4 weeks" 3 October 1849 in St. John, New Brunswick. He was buried in the Church of England Cemetery in St. John, New Brunswick.
  5. Edward Langdon SEELY (abt 1848 - 1877)
  6. Alice Eliza Bentley SEELY (abt 1849 - abt 1933)
  7. Charlotte Anna SEELY (abt 1850 - abt 1923)
  8. Isabella Lavina SEELY (abt 1853 - 1873)
  9. Eugenia Louise H. SEELY (abt 1856 - abt 1936)
  10. Emma Humphrey SEELY was born abt 1858 and died 7 April 1864 in St. John, New Brunswick. She was buried in the Church of England Cemetery in St. John, New Brunswick.
