Family of James Peters and Elizabeth Abigail Peters
James PETERS (son of William PETERS and Amy [SUTTON]) was born abt. 1793 in New Brunswick. He died 11 August 1875 in Kingston, Kings County, New Brunswick and was buried in Kingston's Trinity Church cemetery.

James PETERS married Elizabeth Abigail PETERS, his cousin, 3 October 1830 in York County, New Brunswick.

Elizabeth Abigail PETERS (dau. of William PETERS and Charlotte HAIN[E]S) was born abt 1809 in Queens County, New Brunswick. She died 10 June 1871 in Kings County, New Brunswick and was buried in Kingston's Trinity Church cemetery.

James PETERS and Elizabeth Abigail PETERS had the following children:

  1. Charlotte Amy PETERS (abt 1831 - 1892)
  2. Maria Louisa PETERS (abt 1833 - 1885)
  3. Amelia Abigail Powell PETERS (abt 1836 - 1897)
  4. Eliza Ann (Annie) Hannington PETERS was born abt 1838 in New Brunswick. She died abt 1913 in St. John, New Brunswick. Annie never married.
  5. William Samuel PETERS (abt 1840 - 1925)
  6. James Edwin PETERS (1842 - 1919)
  7. Samuel John PETERS (1845 - 1929)
  8. Augusta Fanny PETERS was born abt 1848 in New Brunswick. She died 18 January 1888 in Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick and was buried in Kingston's Trinity Church cemetery. Augusta never married.
The baptisms of all the children are noted in the records of Trinity Anglican Church, Kings County, New Brunswick. James Peters made a will dated 19 August 1874 in which he names all his children. This family can be found in the census records of Kingston, Kings County, New Brunswick in 1851, 1861 and 1871.
