I have created this web site because I believe it is important to share what I know about the PETERS family I'm a part of, and all the allied families related by marriage. I have been helped by so many people over the years who have generously shared their family histories and research efforts with me, so I must return the favour!

I want this site to be more than a series of family group sheets containing birth, marriage, and death dates/places. I want to provide more than just names and vital statistics whenever possible, and I want to emphasize what information is provable and what is not.

The privacy of living persons will be respected - no information on living persons will be published here. Individuals who were born before or in the year of the 1901 Canadian census and the 1900 U.S. census will be identified, but I will not continue the publication of family lines beyond them for the time being.

Family history research is never "done" and so this web site will never be "done". I plan to add to the site on a regular basis as I go through the materials I have and as I do more research. Check the change log every so often to see what has been added to the site.
